Topics include: Introduction to CLARO; Ethical Considerations; Client Interaction; Pre-Litigation & The Life of a Debt; The Court Process & Key Motions; Substantive Defenses; Negotiating a Settlement; Stipulations; Preparing the Pro Se Consumer Debt Defendant for Trial and Client-Attorney Session Simulations.
This course is FREE to those who volunteer for two or more sessions with one of the CLARO or Civil Court consumer debt pro se assistance programs listed on the registration form before April 27, 2010. Experienced attorneys who volunteer receive an additional MCLE credit for every six (6) hours of volunteer service.
